Me and my wife have been married now half a year. It was time to take tour with motorcycle just the two of us. We had 5 days to do this trip and I chose western Finland.
Day 1 (May 9)
We started before the midday and I was very excited about finally going on a tour with my new bike “Optimus”:

After filling the tank it felt very nice and relaxing to ride the bike! The first leg was 120 kilometers and the the first stop was at Koski (english: Rapids) and there is also quite nice rapids there (Rapids at Rapids…)

Then we stopped at the grocery store in Oripää to buy some sausages. Next stop & break was at “Kekkosplassi”. It is very nice area with a big fireplaces to grill some food, we had sausages, sandwiches and also something to drink.

Then in Säkylä we checked Katismaa and Eenokki (harbour and beach) but these were just very short stops. Finally in Kauttua Ironworks area we stopped for awhile to examine the area. Like all old ironworks areas this has also many very nice old buildings and rapids with some small dams and old bridges.

This was the first time when we noticed that it was quite hot! Weather forecast had promised very nice and warm weather for us… and it was Summer coming already before the middle of May! It was too hot to walk with all riding gear.
The last leg was about 60 kilometers and we arrived to Nakkila where we were supposed to stay for the first night. After we took all the luggage away from the bike we still checked the dam and powerplant of Harjavalta and the medieval Church or Ulvila.

The route for the day 1 was like this:
Moottoripyöräily
I was here with my new BMW S1000XR. First we visited Aulanko (Pitty that the tower wasn’t open!) and I made a short Droneflight in the area. Here’s the photo of Aulanko tower:

Next we visited the castle in Hämeenlinna. I haven’t actually been there before and even now we didn’t go to the museum (insiden the castle). But got few very nice pictures!

And made a droneflight and took few very nice pictures and a video:

(Sorry for all international readers: This is only in Finnish!)
Moottoripyora.org nimistä keskustelufoorumia ylläpitävä motorg ry (jonka jäsen olen ollut 7 vuotta) lataa pöytään melko hienon jutun tänä vuonna! Sinulla on mahdollisuus moottoripyöräillä ilmaiseksi!
Muutaman ehdon kuitenkin motorg ry asettaa.
Motorg ry on hankkinut omistukseensa moottoripyörän jota saavat yhdityksen jäsenet lainata käyttöönsä ilmaiseksi! Pyörän nimi on MotOrgBike.

Pyörä on Kawasaki er-6n ja ns. “täysitehoinen”, eli sillä ajaminen vaatii A-ajokortin. Lisäksi motorg ry on asettenut muitakin ehtoja pyörän lainaamiseen:
– Laina-aika pääsääntöisesti 1-2 vrk.
– ensisijaisesti niille joilla ei ole omaa moottoripyörää
– ensisijaisesti niille jotka haluavat osallistua Ajotaito 2 -koulutukseen motorg-ratapäivänä
– Lisäksi toivotaan aktiivista sosiaalisen median käyttöä mp:n laina aikana, eli kuvia on otettava ja niitä on julkaistava halutuilla kanavilla!
Moottoripyora.org foorumille tullaan perustamaan keskusteluketju mihin kuka tahansa motorg-jäsen voi kirjoittaa hakemuksensa, eli vapaamuotoisen kirjoituksen tarpeestaan ko. moottoripyörän lainaamiseksi. Motorg hallitus käsittelee hakemukset oman harkintansa mukaan.
Motorg ry suhtautuu pyörän pieniin naarmuihin ja vaurioihin lainaajan kannalta anteeksiantavasti. Pakollisista korjauksista saattaa lainaajan lompakko hieman ohentua mutta maksimissaan täyskaskon omavastuun (500€) verran.
Pyörä pitää tietenkin palauttaa tankattuna samaan paikkaan mistä se on lainattu.

Alkukaudesta pyörän sijainti tulee olemaan Tampereella ja loppukaudesta ilmeisesti Helsingissä. Kauden jälkeen pyörä tullaan myymään huutokaupalla josta saaduilla rahoilla motorg ry maksaa 2000€:n yli menevät roposet hyväntekeväisyyteen.
Maksamalla siis motorg ry:n jäsenmaksun sinulla on mahdollisuus kokeilla ilmaiseksi moottoripyöräilyä! Sinun ei tarvitse ostaa omaa pyörää, eikä vuokrata. Sinun ei myöskään tarvitse maksaa kalliita vakuutusmaksuja tai huoltoja. Kannattaisko kokeilla?
UUTINEN
In january I sold my KTM. Now I Have new bike that I will use in gravel and dirtroads:

This Triumph Street Twin is going to be also a bike that my wife can (or will) use if she ever will have the licence. We tried quite many bikes and this was the best bike for her.
I thought I can use this same bike in my endurorides if I only will change the tyres.
Now I’m only hoping that the spring will come soon… Now we still have snow on the ground and temperature below zero…

By the way, motocaching.net is growing fast! We have now 3000 caches (rides) to be found. All over the world, all continents, 72 countries and more is coming all the time!
Helsinki MC Exhibition…
Is about to come! Next weekend. WuHuu! Yippee! I will go!

MP Messut 2018 Tulee! Tulethan sinäkin!
The Panniers…
In my previous bike I had the BMW original bags but they are quite small (35 litres I think?) so now I was thinking to get bigger ones. These are the bags I got:
Since I don’t have the bike yet I didn’t unpack all from the boxes but I took 1 picture in my carage:

These are 45 litres each. I was very surprised how light they are!! Almost lighter than the plastic BMW-boxes. It will also take some time to be comfortable how these look… The BMW-boxes have some design and shape… These are just boxes!
Then I will also have a new topbox. That I will show you when I have it.
Here is another video about SW Motech Trax adventure boxes installation (This one is in German):
Second package arrived today… all the way from China. I didn’t have too much expectations for this one but it seems that I will install this… I really wanna see how it looks on the bike!
These are the protection Grills for radiator and oil cooler -and these are very cheap ones! The normal price for these is about 140€ and mostly you will find these in black colour only. But this one is something else…

As you can see it’s blue! And I love it. I only wish the installation is easy and it fits there nicely.
This was my last day in the foreign country! But I was still enjoying the riding as much as in the beginning of this trip! We startded riding the nice roads on the north side of Örebrö like this and this.

These were very nice and small countryside roads! But we also had to take some gravelroad -for me it was ok but not for all of us.
We had one short break in a small city of Kolsva… This I remember well because I felt happy and relaxed. Sun was shining, the chat with fellowriders was nice and we were laughing, the nature around us was nice and everyhting was well and perfect!

At the end of the day I remembered to put the video on! It was very nice road… even there was some gravel on the road.
This road is in Rånäs and there are other roads nearby which are kind of same.
We had accommodation very near to Kapellskär harbour.

And next morning I took the boat from this harbour to Naantali -Finland.

And in the evening I took one more ride from Naantali to my home. The tour was over!
This was the route for day 18:
Again we had to skip the breakfast to catch the boat! Just after 7 a’clock we were already in the line to the ferry to Gothenburg. Even this was a scandinavian ship it wasn’t much better comparing to the ones in the Mediterranean!

I haven’t been in Gothenburg before so it was a bit pitty we were only riding fast through to catch the nice curvy roads in Swedish countryside!

We took this, this, this, this and this -had so much fun in all of those because it was nice and sunny day!

Here’s the short video from Vassbacken:
We had a BnB accommodation near Örebro:

But the restaurant close to this place was closed so we had to ride to the city to have something to eat. We found quite nice chinese place from the heart of Örebro.
The route of the day was like this:
Motorcycling in Denmark? Yes -we are going to do it!! There are no hills or corners here… Or at least we think this is how it will be. First in morning it was raining a bit. We had the rainsuits on until the halfway… After 2 hours we reached “Tørskind Grusgrav” -it’s a sculpture park with massive pieces of art made of iron, concrete and wood.

I was here before 19 years ago and still I think these are amazing works!
Quite soon after this we started climbing to the 3rd highest mountain of Denmark! There are no steep uphills, no hairpin corners, no views to the mountains… Maybe you just noticed that there was a low uphill while you were riding… and there it was! Quite nice place to climb to the tower and see the countryside all around you (The tower of “Ejer Bavnehøj” is only 13 meters high)

Then later in the afternoon we had one ferry (again!). This it was over the fjord that goes through all Northern Denmark and makes the northern part of this country kind of island!

We arrived to our hotel in Fredrikshavn quite early so we had some time to walk around the beautiful city and eat the dinner.

The route for the day 16 was like this:
