Finally! This is what I was waiting…
2 guys says the best is KTM, 1 says the best is BMW. And they all say the fastest is BMW!!!
Finally! This is what I was waiting…
2 guys says the best is KTM, 1 says the best is BMW. And they all say the fastest is BMW!!!
But today without me. I had to go to work (what a pitty!)
But I had the time to visit the starting point and go to the corner few km’s after the start.
24 bikes passed me like this:
13 bikes took the ride to the archipelago area of the west coast. Kasnäs is the village in Kemio island. But first we had to take 200km’s ride there and then back…
Here are the pictures!
Few of theme here:

And yes! Your eyes are not lying… I got myself another XR already! I must be the top buyer in the whole wide world of the S1000XR! This one is called Dragoné!

We had a day off. No plans for this day… But 3 bikes desided to ride anyway! Here we are at the top of Serpentine-road on the west side of Sapanta-village.
After 80 km’s ride we reached Merry Cemetery in Sapanta. It’s very close to Ukraine border. We checked the gravestones and we were thinking that there should be at least some example translations of the texts there are. We couldn’t understand anything of the Romanian language in the stones!
1 bike desided to choose the alternative route back to Satu Mare and 2 bikes took the same route back. We found a nice place to wash the bikes!
Clean bike!
This is the probably the last time you will see this bike, because 20 minutes later I crashed it! Oh yes I did!
I didn’t have too much speed but the asphalt was a little bit slippery and I couldn’t stop the bike before I hitted the bus a little bit and then I fell down! Bike was almost totally in pieces and I was mad like HELL! First thing I did was to ran to the woods and shout as loud as I could: “F*** ME!” And only few minutes later I was only sad because this was the end of this tour for me! So I’m not gonna write about it anymore since I’m not with the group. If you still want to follow the tour do it in the Facebook! (Only in finnish, sorry)
From Slovakia to Hungary and to Romania like this!
Very nice day… also very hot day! First we had some Slovakian roads with not so tight corners until we got to the road 576 from Vechec to Herlany. That was pure adrenaline with very nice bends!
Then there were few more when we crossed the border to Hungary. But soon after that Hungary was boring with full of straight roads and no mountains at all. This is how it was all the way to Romania.
We rode through Tokaj -village. It was strange because suddenly I was thursty!
But actually the only thirsty-one was the motorcycle! This is somewhere in the middle of Hungary after filling the tank.
And finally we arrived to Romania and a city called Satu Mare. Hotel Aramia parking places.

This was a quite long day. First almost 300 kilometers of straight road in Poland. We got some rain also… but then suddenly the road was full with nice corners! The last 150 km’s we rode in Tatra mountains!
This was the route.
In the beginning of the day we were all smiling. Sun was shining.

But then started the rain and we had to put on the rainsuits.

But at the end of the day the sun was shining again!

Here’s one video from the Tatra mountains, road is still a little bit wet.
Now we are in Stropkov, small town in Slovakia. We are staying at http://www.penzion-polovnicek.sk/
Route was 380 km’s from Sejny (Poland) to Radzyn Podlaski (Poland). We were very close to the Belarus border in some parts of the route. Last 80 km’s was heavy rain and then just before we arrived to our destination the rain stopped and the road was almost dry. This was the route.
Me and my bike in Sejny:

10 bikes taking a break in Poland:

10 bikes parked outside the small hotel in Radzyn Podlaski:

And finally one video from 2nd day ride from somewhere in Poland countryside:
Start of the tour was supposed to be from Sigulda this morning. And it was… but there was 3 bikers still missing from the group.
7 others started tour with a quite long day (almost 500km’s) and route was full with only straight road (and more of straight road!) We started from Latvia, rode throught Lithuania and finally we arrived to Poland.
We had nice 26 degrees (Celsius) weather.
The route of the day was like this.
And accommodation is here. The restaurant with this guesthouse is one of the best in this small city.
This wasn’t that interesting day. Road was straight, not much to see (except the castle!) and one missed crossing and 30 km’s gravel road after that.
This was the route.
We stopped in the city called Cesis (in Latvia) and there is an amazing old castle.

And we also checked the castle in Sigulda:

I still think that Sigulda is a very special town. There’s so much to see and so many places to visit. Maybe the best city to spend few days in whole Baltic countries!
