Naked 1000 Honda doesn’t look modern, it doesn’t have traction control and it doesn’t give impressive power…
But it definately is a gentlemans choice from 1000cc naked bikes. And even it’s not very modern it still looks GOOD!

Here’s a nice review of the japanese naked super bikes:

(The exhaust pipe is ugly as hell! It looks like there’s a snail under the engine!)
What? Who is Vaune Phan? She is 27 years old blogwriter from Singapore. And she did quite a ride from Singapore to Mt Everest Base Camp (north). It was 7500 km’s through Malaysia, Laos, Thailand and China. And she did this with Suzuki 250ccm!! All I can say is WOW! Find the story and the blog from here: http://vaunephan.blogspot.sg/2015/06/day-1-beyondeverest-its-official-flag.html

First I have to confess that this is my mistake! I didn’t read the conditions about making the change or cancelling the booking! But since I’ve been using booking.com quite many times (more than 50 bookings made!) I didn’t think this would be possible!
This guesthouse has this “special condition” about the cancellation (and possible changes). It says: “Please note, if cancelled or modified, 100 percent of the first night will be charged. Deposit: 100 percent of the first night may be charged anytime after booking.”
I made my booking in the beginning of december and then I cancelled it about 2 weeks later (and 7 months before the actual arrival time!!) So due to the regulations and this special condition I lost the whole amount of money already 7 months before I ever made any trip!!
This is not possible here in Finland! But maybe in Lithuania it is possible to cheat travellers like this! And for us motorcycle riders it is quite impossible anyway to make this in-advance bookings because you don’t know what happens tomorrow…
Here is the guesthouse: http://aismares.lt/
And here is their page in booking.com: https://www.booking.com/hotel/lt/aismares-guest-house.fi.html
If you’re using booking.com to find a place to stay, please always read the notes and conditions about cancellation or making changes to your booking!
I also put very negative feedback to trip advisor and google!

But this winter the southern parts of Finland have been very warm (so far) and today when it was time to make the old tradition in Turku at 12.00 -so called “The Declaration of Christmas Peace” there was maybe the biggest amount of motorcycles ever in the center of Turku!

About 30 bikes in this picture…
Tickets are for sale NOW! This is going to be COOL happening in Finland in August 21. – 23. Street motorcycle races… All I can say is Wow!
In Finland buy them here
This amazing piece of machinery is now aviable…. ok not in the stores yet but the prize is known for all and it’s 24701 euros (in Finland). That makes it pretty much the same than BMW S1000XR and Ducati Multistrada… and these are the main competitors too!
The finnish introduction here (language is still english!)

It’s very aggressive lookig bike and I’m wondering if 1290 Sper Duke is called “The Beast” then what will this be???
What do you know about Finland? Most of you knows the capitol (Helsinki) or Sauna. Some of you knows Santa Claus, Kimi Räikkönen and Nokia.
But the main thing you need to know about Finland is the nature! The lakes and the forest, the silent wilderness all around. And it’s quite difficult to describe it in words…. so I’ll give a very cool video!
Video is not mine, it’s by Riku Karjalainen from Kajaani and I think it’s a masterpiece! (You can even watch it in 4K!)
And if you’re a little bit more interested then watch this (25 minutes!)
Gloria Tramontin Struck is 90. Yes, ninety years old! And she rides HD Heritage Softail Classic 2004. She’s been riding a motorcycle for 74 years ans she has a goal…. Still ride a motorcycle when she’s 100!! Way to go Granny! Make life a ride!

It was such a wonderful weather today! I took my XR and rode west. I had few motocache missing from my found list. But first I took Mustio ironworks area because I wanted to make a new cache there!

That is an old mining locomotive from 1903. Both vehicles are made in Germany.
Then I continued on with some gravel-road riding. This time of the year they are in very good condition!

Then finally I reached my destination very close to Hanko city (Most southern point of Finland). There is a spring that bubbles clear water all year. And this spring is famous because the wife of Russian tsar Alexander III wanted to stop here and drink many times on her boat trips in the gulf of Finland. Her name was Dagmar.
The forrest around the spring is very nice!

And the water in the spring is crystal clear!
There are 2 different kind of stairs to the spring: The old stone stairs and the new wooden stairs.
