  • TET Norway BIG UPDATE

    TET Norway has been updated and the new sections goes through the gravel roads on the West Coast. There are many fantastic roads with amazing views. A lot of them are paved roads but there is fantastic scenery with lots of twisty roads, fjords and mountains.
    TET Norway is now 17 sections and it has little bit over 9000km!

    TET Norway Linesman says:
    This is the biggest revision of TET Norway since we started. Limitations because of restrictions to preserve the wild reindeer herds force us to avoid the area of Nordøsterdalen for a while. Because of this we have added a series of new Sections that will take you through most of the absolute best motorcycle roads in the western parts of Norway.

    Expect breathtaking scenery around every corner, going from 1 meter above sea level at one moment to 1000 meters above sea level the next. It is not all on dirt, but it is still very much an adventure with spectacular views and small twisty paved roads in areas where there is hardly room for a road.

    The following text will soon be included on the TET N webpage, but in the meantime here’s the detail:

    When to ride:

    A lot of the roads are high up in the mountains. Depending on the winter, some of the roads may not open until end of June. We would say that mid-June through September would be the best time frame for a trip through all the sections.

    Expect a lot of tourists on some of these routes in July, especially Lysebotn, Geiranger and Lofoten. It is possible to ride the routes in the tourist season as well, but expect some traffic.

    Ferries:

    Unavoidably there are lots of ferry crossings on the new TET N route. We recommend that you create an account at www.ferrypay.no This will get you better prices on the ferries and save a lot of time.

    The area is around Hukkakero, Kittilä…
    TET Sections 1 and 7 are NOT possible to ride through!
    You need to find detour that is best for you.

  • Atlas TransEuroTrail Fire Warning layer

    TransEuroTrail organisation added a new layer to the atlas.transeurotrail.org
    You can now see the fire warnings in the area of the TET!
    The normal view looks like this:

    And on the upper-left corner you can see the button…
    And when you click it:

    This is the view with the fire warnings.
    But you must remember this is not “official” -it’s always better to find out where you can see the official information!

  • Advestonia Day 6

    Again I started very early… and while I was following the shores of the Peipsi Lake I saw this:

    So I was introduced with the glorious morning routines of Estonia…
    And when I finally left behind the amazing Peipsi lake I started following the TET section 1 and it had such a nice forestroads to offer!

    But I was also skipping some parts of the TET because I was trying to reach another Bucketlist place for me! This place was on my bucketlist also about 10 years! Place is the village (town) called “Viivikonna”

    This is the old mining town that was the most active in the 60’s! It had the population bigger than 2000 back then.

    But the mine stopped working already in the 80’s and in the town all the houses were abandoned! Nowadays it has population of 50-80 people.
    Pretty soon after Viivikonna I reached the shores of the Gulf Of Finland and I was doing my own route towards Tallinn.

    I found some amazing roads and tracks which you can see on the video (linked at the end of this post).


    This was the 342 kilometer long route of the day and I ended up to stay for the night just outside of the Tallinn in this kind of place:

  • Advestonia Day 5

    On this day I was riding 178 kilometers from Võru to Kallaste village on the shore of the Peipsi lake. The weather was beautiful and warm.

    This small village was quite soon after leaving Võru.

    Kavastu ferry was closed!

    Nina is a small village on the shore of the Peipsi lake. Here’s the lighthouse.

    This was the route I was riding. There was some very interesting tracks and paths! Check the video down on this post!

    After my ride I went to the beach in Kallaste and took a swim. The water was surprisingly cold!

    This ferry was doing 45 minutes long trips to the Piirissaar island. It looked like repairs had been made to it… Maybe it’s coming back?

  • Advestonia Day 4

    I chose to stay in this Holiday resort for 2 nights. It was a very nice price and there was almost no one else and the apartment I had was huge!!
    I also realized that the weather forecast promised some crazy rain in the afternoon so if I wanted to ride around I needed to go early in the morning. And I did!


    Here’s the 96 km’s ride of the day 4
    I din’t have anything planned so I was just looking at the map while I was riding hoping I would find some nice forest roads. And I certainly did!
    I found also some abandoned buildings.

    This is the bridge between the Võru town and Roosisaare (island?) area where my place to stay was. The bridge was only for pedestrians.
    It was 12 km ride around the lake to go to my accommodation.
    From the eastside of the town I found some very muddy forest tracks!

  • Advestonia Day 1

    This summer I desided to go for an adventure in Estonia! I made the routes for my rides beforehand but only on the first day I followed my plan. The ride was like this:


    Some spots that I had on this day:
    – Saku beerfactory

    – Piirsalu newclear missile base

    – Mihkli church

    I stayed the night in the smallest house of Pärnu (maybe?)

    And I enjoyed the meal in the “best restaurant” in town.
    This Pub dates back to 1930 (soon 100 years!)

  • EVO Adventure 2026

    I started my “job” as the TransEuroTrail Linesman of Finland in the summer 2021. Pretty much the first thing I did back then I went for a ride to EVO area! I’ve shared 2 videos of that ride:

    Quite soon after this ride I made the update for the Section 1 and since then the TransEuroTrail Finland has been going through this amazing area!
    But in this area there’s also a problem that made me do updates for the TET pretty often!

    It’s very common that they’re adding gates and traffic signs to the roads. So it felt like the route is following only “the main roads” and I was feeling like I need to go there and explore more!! Now I did.

    This is how we were riding there… And yes I did find something!! And I will make the update to the TET once again.

  • I have Motoz tires now

    It’s already almost 2 years ago when I was looking new tires for my bike and I was especially interested about Motoz tires.
    I was thinking I want to have better grip than I had with my first Motoz tires but I still wanted to have almost as good amount of kilometers! (At least with the rear tire!)
    So I made the order then and now finally I have the tires in my bike.
    Rear tire is Motoz Tractinator Desert

    And the front tire is Motoz Tractinator DV (DualVenture)

    But it seems that my order was made wrong way around! The front tire should last kilometers very well and rear tire will not. Well… I have these now and it is what it is. I was testing the new tires now for the first time and I made a video (This video is only in Finnish):

  • Updating TET Finland Section 13

    I’ve been riding around Karkkila – Pilpala area now already 2 times to find the new route for section 13!
    First time was 11th of October and second time was 25th of October.
    In the map those 2 times look like this:

    And luckily now I can say that Yes I have found the new route for the section 13 and the update will be published soon. I can definitely say that the area near Cafe Lättis has some very nice roads and tracks and now I know the area quite well.
